Rapetosaurus was a titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur that lived in Madagascar between 70 and 66 million years ago, near the end of the Cretaceous Period. A large, long-necked quadrupedal herbivore, it is known from a single species, Rapetosaurus krausei, and is one of the best-studied titanosaurs from the Southern Hemisphere. This scientifically accurate sculpture is handmade from clay over an aluminum skeleton and finished with acrylic paint and hand-painted details.
